Anyone have a preference for potential events/reskins? Logicopedia could be brought out of retirement, which would be quite nice, I think. -- Hindleyite 21:06, 30 Arche 2009 (UTC)

For the Record: The Official History of our 2009 April Foolery

OK um I could go on about how it was all planned and talked about and the meeting we had on a private channel and how we paid the abominable snowman to hide cameras inside the Pope's popcorn machine but that would take too long so I'm going to instead list in order all the April Foolery that actually appeared on Illogicopedia in order.

1. I changed the #illogicopedia IRC channel topic to say that Illogicopedia was going to close down permanently due to a server virus, and that anyone who was using the site should reformat their computers within the next 24 hours. This was a parody inspired by the Conflicker virus.
2. We replaced the Main Page with the aforementioned Guardian parody.
3. I posted about my new girlfriend, who broke up with me later that day but I was too devastated (lazy) to post.
4. On April 2nd, when our Main Page came back, I posted Yesterday's server virus that replaced our main page with some lame British newspaper is officially gone. Nerd42 is the computer genius man! which linked to System Report.

And that's um everything that happened here on April 1st that was specifically related to April Fools Day that wasn't just our normal "Every Day is April Fools Day on Illogicopedia" nonsense! --Nerd42 21:54, 15 Arply 2009 (UTC)

Chyeah! We need to make this its own page with info on the 2007 and 2008 ones. 2007 was Logicopedia and 2008 the Error 404 thing I think. Plus, can someone provide a permalink to the April fools 09 Goudian reskin thingie? -- Hindleyak  ( Blab | Blog )   13:39, 17 Arply 2009 (UTC)

Actually, um ... the way I wrote that, it looks like I'm giving myself WAAY too much credit for everything. The Guardian parody was really the main thing, and while I suggested some ideas on it, it was not my baby. --Nerd42 21:01, 20 Arply 2009 (UTC)
