Forum:Lord of Commons
Asema has outlined these jobs for the Lord of Commons:
- Instruct new users on use and purpose of the wiki, and explain to them the tenets of editing. Be open for help above editing until twenty-one (21) days have passed since their registration.
- Revert any vandalism, and (if possible) contact an admin about banning the vandal. If the vandal does not let up, cease editting and contact an admin immediately.
- Check the New Users log and welcome any new users.
- Provide help for any users contacting you on your talk page, above and beyond the 'minting' period of 21 days, ideally as fast as possible.
- Provide a proxy between the users and the admins, bringing new ideas and wishes of the community at large (10+ users) to the table.
- Regularly (every month) check in with the admins to see if they have any more jobs to add or remove to this list.
Any other jobs anyone can think of? basicly, shit hits the fan? blame fonchezzz :D --Silent PenguinLeave Me Alone 13:35, 1 Ditzimber 2007 (UTC)
Ya, so i see what i need to do, but uhhh the most common thing i will need to do is to welcome people... and tell me, where is the new users log? --|Fonchezzz| Quacking| 14:42, 1 Ditzimber 2007 (UTC)
The "log" in Illogicopedia per se is whenever a user makes their fifth edit as a registered user. --Sir Asema Politics Complaint Inbox or Outbox
Well I'd like to do my most common job which is to welcome people but tons of other people keep using the welcome thing the instant i get on. It seems to be a useless thing if other people do it before me. Also: vandals are rare.... so pretty much i am going to have a boring lord of commons period unless i can get to new users before other users..... therefore needing to be on 24/7. Any suggestions?--|Fonchezzz| Quacking| 19:29, 2 Ditzimber 2007 (UTC)
