- Next I suppose you could do Iced Warm. They are apparently a metal band from Uzbekistan. XY007 (talk - contribs - business) 23:06, 27 Ergust 2017 (UTC)
- Or maybe you could do a band from this long and impressive list. 23:27, 27 Ergust 2017 (UTC)
- Me? Well, that would require me to sustain ear damage. XY007 (talk - contribs - business) 04:01, 28 Ergust 2017 (UTC)
- Surely you've heard of The Berzerker? 47.139.8.119 04:39, 28 Ergust 2017 (UTC)
- Nope. I have, however, heard of Thy Art Is Murder: an inexplicably popular -core band. XY007 (talk - contribs - business) 05:08, 28 Ergust 2017 (UTC)
- I have listened to them, and I felt incredibly underwhelmed. Only one song had appeal, and that is because it had a good groove to it. Moreover, the pop-quality production made it far less enjoyable; there was not any grit that would be found in, say, Infant Annihilator (though they sound like a slightly watered-down version of Cattle Decapitation imo) or even Whitechapel.
- In other words, deathcore is: Suffocation, which had a baby with metalcore, and that baby was best friends with djent. 204.108.110.180 18:08, 28 Ergust 2017 (UTC)
- I'm amazed you actually managed to listen to any of their work (or any other -core bands). I can't. As for annihilating infants, I suppose that's their job, not yours? XY007 (talk - contribs - business) 22:30, 28 Ergust 2017 (UTC)
- The thing about modern deathcore is that every band is trying to sound SUPER FUCKING BR00TAL AND HEAVY, but that, unfortunately, comes at the expense of decent, complex song structures and virtuosity. Nowadays they sound like remixes of every generic death metal song from the late 80s with sterile, pop-quality productions, down-tuned guitars (or guitars with 7+ strings), simplistic song structures, djent-y palm muting (which is nowhere near as good as Meshuggah, or even Periphery for God's sake [and Periphery is also classified as metalcore!]) which only makes the songs sound even duller and lacking in structure, and then there's those sordid and reviling vocals. Pig squeals upon pig squeals upon screamed vocals upon emo vocals. Not even Job For a Cowboy, which was one of the first deathcore bands ever (and one of the few decent sounding ones out there), utilized these mediocre song elements as if their lives depended on it.
- Just don't listen to deathcore. It's not worth your time. 00:45, 31 Ergust 2017 (UTC)
- I'm surprised you can review it like this. XY007 (talk - contribs - business) 01:48, 31 Ergust 2017 (UTC)
