Mwhahahahh! After the (relative) success of last year's spooooky writing competition, the Fear Arousing Halloween Fables are back for another ghoulish year.
Here's the spiel: it's a bit like the Pickles, only a lot scarier and with a stricter judging deadline *cough* so things'll be wrapped up for 31st October. Winners get a nice featured spot on the front page, and depending on quality, there may be more than one winner. There are unfortunately no elaborate reskins planned as yet, but give it time and things might well change.
It's a much more relaxed affair than the Pickle, allowing collaborative articles between one or more users should you wish to join forces with a fellow Illogicopedian or two. Please try and stay within the word count - we aren't gonna disqualify you if you go a couple of hundred over, but overly long articles will be penalised. Cos, like, we wanna go trick or treating and that, yeah?

- Your entry must be a minimum of 1,250 words and a maximum of 2,500, in order to allow for exploration of the
- Your entry must be of high quality. That means it needs to be well-thought-out, cohesive and in continuous prose. Anything else is up to you!
- There are no rules! Shit, wait.
- Entries open on the 15th of October and close on 30th of October, the day before All Hallows' Eve.
- The winning entry/entries will be featured on the front page for Halloween.
- Collaborations are allowed, cos y'know, this ain't the Pickle or anything
- Force our beautiful Unhallowed Hallowe'en template onto your article. It's Hallowe'en, you can force anything, THAT'S legal. (PS. type {{Unhallowed09}} to do so)
- Only one article per user/team please!
- Umm, it has to be scary or have something to do with Halloween.
- Apart from that, go nuts!
